Ok I have sent the question to support but since it's Saturday early morning in Hong Kong, I'm hoping that someone here can help.

My MCH streamer is no longer found by Windows and I have tried all the usual tricks to get it working again. Restart, reconnect, another usb cable and tried to reinstall drivers. Nothing seems to be working. It's recogniced by the dac (samplerate 48k) but it doesn't turn up anywhere in windows. Both leds are on.

During reinstall there is sort of a "catch22"moment. When hitting finish this message turns up and it's not possible to close the installation without saying "yes" to no completion of install. That's with or without the streamer connected to the usb port.

Since it's still communicating with the dac I' m hoping that this is just a driver issue. Could it be that there is some file that's left behind after uninstall that's messing this up ? This is the first time it has behaved like this.

I experienced the same phenomenon.
That is when the driver software is installed without connecting MCHStreamer to the PC.

After that, the driver software was uninstalled.
I connected MCHStreamer to the PC first, and when I installed the driver software again, the installation was completed without any problems.

Attach the device manager image.
The upper image is when MCHStreamer is connected without installing the driver software.
The lower image is after installing the driver software with MCHStreamer connected.

In this state, MCHStreamer is operating normally.

This is how it looks over here. Tried the latest driver without any succes. In the device manager translated from Swedish it says "Unknown USB device (request for device description failed)



Next clue. "This device have been stopped since a problem have been reported. (code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

Have you tried rewriting the firmware?

The program is in the following location when you unzip the downloaded driver.

I have tried to update drivers in the device manager as well. I got the answer
that it already have the best drivers installed. Still can't connect to it.

The firmware update application doesn't find it either so no go there as well.

There seems to be a reset button (?) on the board, what does that one do ?

There is a button on the board, but since I have never used this button,I do not know what function it has.
I would like to expect information from DevTeam.

If the firmware update application is unable to find the board, it may indicate a problem with the board.

I have tried a hard reboot between uninstall and reinstallation of drivers, still the same though.
Beginning to lean towards a hardware fault, even though it's communicating at the dac side.

What does the little white button do ?

I pressed the white button to test it.
I tried connecting MCHStreamer to a PC (Windows 10) and not playing music.
MCHStreamer disappeared from the device manager when the button was pressed.
When the button is not pressed, MCHStreamer is displayed in the device manager.
I guess the white button is a reset function.

And the firmware wasn't changed back to some default version i hope ? Even if so, I will try this in the morning. For now I better get some sleep.

Something went wrong 09-18 and since Windows couldn't solve the problem it was assigned a "bad device driver".
That's my conclusion anyway, and of cource the reset button doesn't work either.

So I tried to install it on another computer, an old Acer laptop (windows 7) that
never have had anything like this installed. Same result on that one

It may be that something happened on September 18th and the problem remained on the board.

Well it's Monday again so I belive Devteam can take it from here. It's 15$ to send it back, no big thing and probably worth it so....
