According to this article (www.minidsp.com/applications/advanced-tools/rephase-fir-tool), and the manual for my Flex, I should be able to load 2048 taps per output channel.  I'm not sure what's going on but when I try to import my FIR filters to my flex I get an error when I attempt the import into the 2nd channel saying the number of taps must be smaller than 2036 (see screenshot attached.)

What am I doing wrong here?!

The minimum number of tabs in any unused channel must be 6.

So the actual maximal usable number of taps (for two channels) is (X - 2x6) / 2.

Gotcha. That makes sense. Would have made more sense in the article that they would have suggested 2042 taps vs 2048 taps for the FLEX. 

Rephase is fantastic, if you can get smaart to measure your fir will have better results 

OSM is free and also works nice, you can average the transfer functions within the software a db average coherence weighted works masterfully for fir 

REW can’t average phase properly so I would suggest one of those software and then rephase works even better

make transfers in live IR, average them, export to REW (only to reformat impulse to text) export as text , load into rephase…  amazingly accurate data….
