I’m running a balanced miniDSP Flex as a dac/preamp into mono Schiit Aegirs each feeding a KEF LS50. This combo would previously get near the mid 80 dba range with the Flex run wide open, now it’s barely breaking 70 dba. I haven’t changed anything and noticed the difference after being gone one weekend and then cranking up the stereo. Normal listening levels are in the mid 60 to mid 70 dba range which I previously reached at around the 15 mark on the Flex. Any suggestions?
