Hi!
It would be nice if minidsp had an optional separate analog to SPDIF input module for flex eight, is there any High Quality options (analog to SPDIF ADC) available ? DIY or commercial ?! Trying to connect the record player to the flex, Tried a few cheaper analog to SPDIF modules and didn't like it, looking for a high quality/high performance analog to SPDIF.

I should re-phrase my question and add more info, I'm looking for a high quality ADC to connect the record player, I tried two different analog to spdif modules, one was 15, and the other one was 45$ and I was not happy with the results, it sounded boomy, didn't like the highs or mids.
I saw two high quality ones but both were out of stock.

I presume you are using a phono preamp stage between the cartridge and the ADC? If not, it would indeed sound bad.

Yeah the phono is not the issue, I have the phenomenal QSXM2 ultra extreme RIAA as the phono preamp.
