Hi,
Anyone add a Flex unbalanced to a 2.x analog music system, including vinyl playback and have any thoughts on impact  (if any) to sound quality?
I believe that putting the Flex in the system will do a AD/DA conversion, even if analog in/analog out, correct? In other words, no pure direct/analog bypass mode?

Similarly, anyone compare the Flex to the dSpeaker antimode X2, which is the other option I'm looking at.

If you're worried about the AD/DA conversion, just don't use the Flex.  :)  There are plenty of other options out there.....as you noted.

thanks, Dave.  Yes, alot of options but most, if not all, do an AD/DA conversion.

My other options are the dSpeaker anti-mode X2 (but not sure if the fidelity is as good as the Flex) or an active cross-over (I'm considering the Sublime Acoustic K231 or Marchand XM66) and then a dsp (like the Flex or keep my current dSpeaker 8033sii) for the bass only.  My subs have continuous phase so can align with the mains.  The Marchand is relatively expensive, but has continuously adjustable cross-overs so I can set to lowest value (20 hz) which would essentially be similar to running my mains full range.
