The miniDSP Device Console ("DC") looks like a better interface than what's used either the 4x10 HD or OpenDRC DA8 which I use, and has obviously better (hopefully much quieter) hardware. The questions I have are about the config file. I have numerous config files created for the many loudspeakers I've built & experimented with over the years. I don't want to lose them. So....

1. Can the config files from either 4x10 HD or OpenDRC DA8 be used unmodified in the Flex 8?
2. If not, how do they need to be changed? 

If these questions have already been addressed, please point out the answers, thanks! 

So I made the query to the miniDSP support. Their response:

Sorry for the configure files cannot be swappable between the difference products due the the file format for each products , the product features are difference.

you may need to set the parameters manually

This answer is absurdly unhelpful. Does any user out there have any insights they can share? 

Most configuration files can be manually converted in just a few minutes.
If you don't want to convert to the new Device Console, just stick with your existing setup.
Heck, Windows 7 is still the dominant version in use on PC's out there.
