Hello
I am an owner of Flex balanced (for 7 days) and twice I could not have audio from the Flex. I restarted the PC, I turned off and on the Flex but nothing. The only thing I could do to fix the issue is to disconnect the Flex from power supply and reconnect. Then it works as it supposed to work. I can see the control app of the Flex working fine and it shows signal but no sound from the speakers.
Did someone had same problems?

I am also having the same problem. I have not tried remote control as you have.
I have tow issues.
First: If AVR LFE takes flex out standby, no outputs from sub until I power cycle it. Same is true if I do it via the knob.
Second: if I change presets it looses the output until I power cycle again. For example, Preset 1 is working after power cycle, now I change to Preset 2, no output from subs. But if I power cycle, preset 2 will start working.

for $500 equipment that’s not good. I have created support ticket, will see what the resolution comes out of it. First reply to ticket is not good as it says check output 3 & 4, may be I disabled it. But that’s not true as I have four subs. I have a feeling that I will be going thru these kind a support until they start looking at their unit instead of telling me to check my connections and to read manual.

For 2 weeks now I had no problems. I believe that these are software related problems and need to be addressed.

Not sure what could be the issue here but best to talk to our support team to actively figure out what is the issue. They will be the one able to help here. :-)

Most likely something odd about a)configuration b)Maybe an outdated firmware?
Step#1: Make sure you're running DC (only software we active support from there on)
Step#2: Make sure you're running the latest DSP and XMOS versions
Step#3: When you do get that issue, simply send a snapshot to our team via a support ticket on our portal (support.minidsp.com) .

We can take it from there to figure out the trigger. :-)

The problem still persists. It might be due to overheated the device. Waiting for response from the support team. It is a problem that I cannot live with.

Step #2 is already done before posting here. DSP and xmos are the latest.
step#3: What do you need? An image of unit with display showing detail of preset etc.

so I am now powering off when AVR is powered off and turns on when AVR  is turned on.

this way
At least unit doesn’t stay on and get hot.

So I am not the only one that noticed the problem. This means that Flex might have overheating problems?

Whenever I loose output, I have to power cycle the unit. So I decided to connect unit to a power strip that turns power on when gets a signal from AVR is powered on. I never understood why this unit has to stay on. It should be in standby mode till gets LFE signal like most subwoofers do. I am sure $500 unit can accommodate that.
