Equipment: NUC/Win 11, USB to Flex - Input 1=Left/Input 2=Right, Out (1 L) & (2 R) TPS to TPS amp (Buckeye), Out 3 (L+R) TPS to RCA Sub (REL Tzero)
Note: XO on REL is at max - approx 120hz, Gain on REL is vertical (12 o'clock)
Measurement Equip: REW, Umic 1
Procedure I followed:
1) Lvl check in REW with 20 to 200hz sweep - Out 1&2 muted on flex, Out 3 [L+R] (sub) active
2) Ran REW measurement [call it M1],  Ran EQ with room curve & saved REW EQ Filter file for sub [the predicted EQ matched the Room Curve]
3) Loaded Filters into FLEX output 3 (sub) - the EQ Freq Resp shows waves [straight if all filters are bypassed]
4) Reran REW measurement [M2] - with filters - the result is very close to M1 - does not match predicted REW EQ
5) Bypassed all Out 3 filters, Reran REW measurement [M3] - with bypass filters - graph is very close to M1 & M2
I did not attach the 3 graphs + predicted Eq graph, nor screenshots of Measurement & EQ screens - I can supply
Any advice?
Thanks,
John

Sharing the REW mdat file may help. Screenshots of what's going on in the miniDSP software may too.

I can't immediately think what the issue may be from what you've posted.

If your using auto eq make sure your not using minidsp96k

the ddrc24 (Dirac flex) runs at 48k
your PEQs won’t behave properly if your direct imports of coefficients

if you do use minidsp96k you’ll have to manually input the frequencies and Qs and gains for the eqs to work right

Sorry for the delay... It took me a while to figure out how to attach mdat files.  Also, I apologize if I've provided too much info!
Flex settings: Preset 1 (Config 1), USB from PC (NUC), Gain = -20db for all measurements
Attachment 1&2 show Flex Preset 1 Input & Output screens, 3&4 show REW Measurment & EQ page settings, 5 are PEQ filters for manual input
File "A" is the zipped(!) mdat file for the Sub - showing No XO &EQ, EQ entered manually, and EQ imported. I couldn't attach Speaker & All mdats (???)
Attachment 7 is the Freq Resp Graph - All speakers without XO or EQ and with XO and EQ. I can't see and difference.
Right now, I'm just concentrating on getting FLEX to show some difference when EQ filters are applied.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. ???  Any advice?
Thanks
John

I think I see why I can't attach the Speaker mdat files...too big!  I go to extremes (1 mb data & 96mhz).  If needed, I can remeasure at normal sizes and resend.  Although I think the sub mdat file shows my problem.
Thanks,
John

When you hit bypass can you hear a change ?

if so , then eq is working …

you might refresh dsp , or just manually input auto eq data instead of import biquads

it’s only 10 eqs

also , you might have better luck and sound quality using live rta and moving mic averages around listening position

also , I would use an FIR and make a linearizarion

download rephase and make a linearized crossover  if your using the 1024 taps and crossover is around 80hz I would try centering around 9ms

best of luck

but for your eq , try manual input data
and Hit bypass and listen for a change

Your two attached 2x4HD GUI captures indicate you're not connected to the board.
You did sync and then disconnected?????

Dave.

Thanks for the reply.  Attachment 7 shows full system FR graph (L+R+S) both with all XO & EQ filters bypassed.  I can't see any diff.  I'm not sure what I should be listening for. I have done both manual PEQ and Import biquad.  The zipped mdat file shows the results for nofilters, manual PEQ, and Import biquad... I can't see any difference.  I live alone and have only one listening position... also I'm just (for now) trying to get the FLEX to recognize any filters.  Now I'm going to show just how ignorant I am.... I don't know what: (a) "Refresh dsp" (b) "Live rta" and (!) (c) "FIR", "linearization","rephase", & "taps"    are.... but perhaps these are best left until I know how to make the FLEX work. I will try the bypass listening test, but am not hopeful.  Refreshing the DSP sounds promising.  How do I do it?
Thanks again,
John

Thanks for the reply.  Where do I look to see that the 2x4HD (FLEX) is disconnected?  This and "syncing", "refreshing", and "connecting" are probably the source of my problem.  So, (1) how do I tell in REW whether I'm connected to the DSP (I thought if sound came out of the speakers I was connected) and (2) where do I go (REW, FLEX, or both) to either "sync" or "refresh" ...or do both.   I think you've pointed me in the right direction...I'll do some web browsing.
Thanks again,
John

@John

If you don't know if you're live and connected, that might be a problem.. ;-)
Start simple, don't jump steps. Grab the manual and make sure to follow the steps. Starting from p30 and up is the process of "connecting and configuring the DSP".
www.minidsp.com/images/documents/miniDSP...%20User%20Manual.pdf

You can easily mute inputs and see if you hear the difference? You'll see the RMS meters moving up and down too when you're live and synchronized.
