HI,

received my Digi two days ago.
Main reason I ordered it is for my 2.2 music setup, subs connected through high level and mains playing full range, so wanted xovers and cleaning up under 150 Hz. As these subs are also a part of 7.2.4 surround setup., wanted flex to be my input switch for them.
I might be wrong, as I haven't got all together yet, but it seems presets (configurations) only memorize eq, routing, xovers, while you have to change input and volume manually. I was hoping this would work like in avrs, your preset is linked to input, volume, sound mode, eq... I bet I'm not the only one who would like this.
This way I think I will skip avr sub preout to flex connection, as I want simplicity, not having to choose preset, then input, then volume manually.
MINIDSP, please enable this through software, doesn't seem like much to incorporate.
I'm gonna try going avr preout single rca to single rca input on sub, and single rca from music dac to a second rca input on a sub, avoiding the hassle of switching everything through Flex, while losing the eq benefits ( so only Audyssey xt32). Shame.

Also, I don't know how to measure with REW through Flex only, so not over avr, and seems to me all online tutorials rely on avrs.
Digi is connected to PC with USB cable. Have Windows 10, set output to Mini dsp, as in REW, but I get no pink noise. What am I missing here?

Thanks,
Best

I don't have a Flex but I expect you can set output adjustments in the signal routing table, which are preset specific.

Can't you just set master volume to 0. and adjust the individual preset volumes accordingly?
Now obviously you need to be careful (ie know what you're doing), and not blow your speakers/subs with max volume signal accidentally.

Not sure about inputs, but it seems that's something you can do with a programmable remote, like harmony.  Maybe miniDsp can add an IR code to go directly to an input instead of cycling through them.

Don't know if you're still working on this issue, but which plugin are you using? If you're using the 2x4 HD plugin, you should be able to control input volume, and I assume that would be saved as part of the preset. If you are using the DDRC-24 plugin, you would not be able to control input volume because that is meant to be fixed by the Dirac Live calibration. If you are not using Dirac Live, you should use the 2x4 HD plugin. I'm not sure what you mean by input selection since you mention that separately from the routing table.

Nope, it doesn't support input or volume memory, as the techs replied to me. Upgraded to dirac, and after seeing what it did with my subs, decided to use Flex in the avr chain after all, worth the hassle, but they should def upgrade to the previously mentioned functions.
Also, Java doesn't work for me, had to install asio for pc to flex

I can control everything with both plugins, I guess Dirac only inserts the curve and impulse correction. But would like to see the curve is in, like in 2x4 plugin
