I have a flex on order, hopefully arriving next week.

I chose not to spend the extra on Dirac as my old 2x4 was set up using REW and I've been very happy with it.

If I change my mind and would like to buy a Dirac license later, is that possible?

At least take advantage of making a linear phase crossover with the 2x4hd plug in with it’s fir bank 

you can download rephase for free at rephase.org 

you’ll notice a dramatic difference from the old 2x4. It’s a very good dsp you’ll enjoy it.

you can buy the Dirac side whenever and switch between platforms any time. It’s a breeze

Just to avoid possible disappointment in the future, I'll add that if Dirac were bought in the future then it's filters would replace the FIR filter option and so both couldn't be used at the same time.
