I must be doing something stupid, but I can't work out what.

2x4HD plugin installed, and connected to flex. I can input analogue audio to flex, and view the input and ouput meters, adjust gain, volume : everything. Same if I connect by Bluetooth.

I can't get any music to play via USB. If I select the flex as output on the mac, and USB as input on the flex, nothing shows on the input meters. At all. Other USB devices play fine when selected as output device.

Any ideas?

Ok - Never mind.

Flex doesn't like my USB extension cable. Which is a pain in the neck, because it means I need to reconfigure my listening room. And get an extension audio cable for my turntable instead.

Still never mind. Such is the nature of progress.

Edited to add: Temporary solution put in place. Old soundcard reconnected on the end of the long USB cable and connecting to Flex via Toslink. I can now use my laptop just for the control connection.
