I can not connect to my Flex through the miniDSP-2X4-HD plug in. I have the ability to play music in stereo through BT, TOSLINK, & USB. Is anyone else having trouble with this? If so, have you resolved the issue? And, how did you do it?

Thank You in Advance,
Kev

Try unplugging and plugging in again the USB cable.
In my setup with Linux, I have also problems with the USB interface every time after the Flex has been disconnected from power.

Are you possibly using either a very long USB lead or a USB hub? Both might cause an issue.

I think that I should have Flex on standby when I plug it into my laptop during the USB driver installation now that I think about it. But, I'm using the supplied cable. BTW I thought of pm-ing you at ASR.

It's not necessary for an SHD to be in standby to connect the plugin. I don't have a Flex to test but I'd guess the same it true for it, although no harm in you trying.

You may be best contacting miniDSP Support to get this resolved.

Yes, I've had a ticket in since Thursday night or Friday afternoon their time.  They requested screen shots throughout my installation process.

I'm using a laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5 cpu. It most likely has two USB 3 ports and one USB C port.

I guess I'll hear from them Monday morning. They've already replied twice for my troubles.

Initially I connect the inputs of the Flex to the inputs of my power amp.
I got no sound. I figured it out eventually. But haven't been able to connect the plug-in. Despite that I'm listening with it now in unEQ'd stereo.

I found out what was wrong, 0PERATOR ERROR!  I was trying to set-up the HD plug in on a DDRC unit. Boy do feel foolish. Too excited to read the manual carefully.  Thanks to all who responded!

Last edit: by kphooligann. Reason: omitted the C in DDRC.
