I recently bought a minidsp-flex.

There is a problem connecting the product.

It cannot connect with several minidsp software including ddrc24.

1. The product is normally recognized by mac and audio playback is possible via usb.
(osx 10.14.6 mac pro late 2013)

2. I tested something that can receive spdif audio input. It was possible.

3. Firmware update was not possible on mac.

4. Firmware update was possible in Windows (picture attached), the product was recognized normally in Windows, and audio playback was not attempted.

5. Attempted to connect with ddrc24/24hd/shd software on mac but failed

6. Attempted to connect with ddrc24/24hd/shd software in windows but failed

7. I got the following message after failing to connect to 24HD from both mac and windows. (Picture attached)


The above is the current situation.

I hope to be able to use the product normally.

I desperately need help from minidsp!

if you need official support, you should contact the minidsp support.

Im am not an expert, but the error message reads like you cannot use the ddrc24 software to connect to the flex. Probably you need to download the flex Software?

I don't have a Flex but going by the manual I think the 2x4 HD plugin is currently the one to use with a Flex without Dirac Live, and the DDRC-24 plugin is the one to use with a Flex with Dirac Live.
