Just received today the Flex with balanced interfaces, which was ordered directly from miniDSP.
Unfortunately, the device was stuck for 3 days with DHL in Hongkong, therefore I had to wait a bit longer than usual.
The tax/customs fee in Germany was 107 Eu, which was collected by DHL upfront.

I unpacked and connected the device, and then updated the Firmware.
Upon installing the driver and the plugin in Windows, I was already able to play some music.
The entire procedure took less than half an hour.

This is my first product from miniDSP. I started exploring the plugin, and I find that it is extremely well designed.
All adjustments are intuitive, except maybe for the wording chosen for enabling and disabling filters (BYPASS, BYPASSED).
It is nice that everything can be controlled from the plugin while the computer is connected to the Flex.

Flex is also recognized and works with Linux. I would only wish that the plugin would also be available under Linux as well, just like REW.

Now I am waiting for the Dirac Live license and software which I have ordered last Thursday,
and which will probably arrive after Chinese New Year. Meanwhile I will experiment with REW.

Everyone seem to have little hangups with minidsp as a first time user…. Once you get the hang of there process… and the products,
you will realize that minidsp actually does have the best dsp platforms and the best UI and beat workflow…. All of the products make sense and are simple, no they don’t do everything you want… but for its architecture it’s very good..
better then everyone else.

if you can tell me a product tjat is “better” I will be happy to go line item and tell you why it’s false.
they really truly are the best.

enjoy your minidsp , get ready for amazing sound quality!
