I'm a long time user DDRC-22DA/D, nanoDigi,, 2x4HD, EARS, umik-1 etc.

Thanks for introducing an exciting new product. I've been looking forward to something like this. I'll be great product for 2 way speaker builder, or subwoofer lovers who want to integrate with or without Dirac..

I'm looking forward to a 2x8 or 2x6 Flex, and will be the first buy it!

Straight after I just bought a 2x4HD, balanced would have been much better.

How about a 16x16 Flex with DLBC, now that would be very very interesting....

Or 12x16 or 14x16, all good.

Have they said a 2x8 flex is in the works? I’d also like to know. I use 2 2x4HD for 8 subs currently and will buy 2 Flex to replace but would rather have everything in one unit.

I want the same. they could make the units chainable so you can control them with one volume control and keep channels in phase. 
It's called Flex ya know...
 

When miniDSP have a policy of not announcing products until it’s ready.

But if there is consumer demand or a market they may develop it. I dunno how much Original design is needed but the back panel looks like it could certainly accomodate another pair (or two) of outputs.

Any idea when they will be shipping them? I have already paid and booked mine.

Thanks for the feedback and it's indeed correct that we're not sharing our roadmap as it's always putting us in trouble while we're trying to help share ideas with the communities, We learned the hard way with Roon implementation that it's just a bad idea to start sharing anything too early... Everybody suddenly believes that it's going to be done right away and that zero problem won't arise on the way. ,,,Anybody who has been part of an engineering + manufacturing team would know it's a very different story unfortunately... Many products are under design as we speak, some for more than a year... That's how long it takes.. 

Long story short, it doesn't mean we don't appreciate feedback.

The problem with early announcements is exactly what you said. The problem with no announcements is that the public doesn’t know the “health” of the company.

I’m glad to hear you guys are kicking along. Hope you’re all in reasonable health, have someone who loves and cares for you, and have something to look forward to.

We love miniDSP, and look forward to 2022.

 

Not sharing your roadmap is OK and reasons understood.
But please accept my request for a 2x6 or 2x8 version of Flex, this would tick even more boxes on my incredibly long wish-list.
In the meantime, I'll test and enjoy the 2x4 Flex ordered some days ago.

Thanks for your understanding guys! And no worries about our health, we're indeed all doing very well and keep pushing features/products as you can all see.  
2021 wasn't as impressive when it comes to product release due to all R&D on hold trying to scramble redesigning most products for new chipsets.. 2022 is going to be Epic as all the hard work behind the scenes will see its benefits!
