Hi, I am very interested in buying this headphone measurement rig since it seems to be the only affordable one for regular consumers. It seems to work nicely for full sized headphones. However, after looking at some IEM measurements, it doesn't seem to perform nearly as well with IEMs. I'm assuming it's because of the ear canals being like tubes instead of molded like real canals. Is it possible to replace the ear canal with something more realistic, or is it permanently stuck in there?

I bought this anyway. There's basically not even a canal, its like a 1cm straight tube to the mic.

I still found it's useful for checking for channel imbalance, relative differences between IEMs, and helping with EQ'ing. Also the compensation cals are great for telling you if it is objectively flat, without any pinna gain. As if you put it straight up to a flat mic.
