Hi! I would like to know if it's possible to use EARS to record binaural in room sound, binaural sound of stereo speakers to be exact. Is EARS suitable for that use? Would it reveal the differences of different speaker systems recorded in the same conditions? Should I consider different solutions? Thanks!

@mskiba84

Sure, it would be possible but note that the sound would be skewed by the ear canal.. Most of the binaural mics are for that reason using a capsule at the "edge" of the ear (not inside).

binaural recordings wouldn't make sense with the huge 4-5khz resonance that this thing produces. you have to remove it while keeping the pinna gain, which i dont think there's a calibration for that. Can you guys release that?

Hi
does ears record like in this film?
I bought it and I have "phone quality".
I would have to work hard with the EQ to get closer to this recording.

As said earlier, you must do some Eq magic to compensate those ear canal resonances, and its not too easy job.
Othervice EARS are quite handy, as they can connect directly to your iphone or ipad and such.. Just get that USB->Thunderbolt adapter, and you are good to go.

What comes to Oluv´s video. He uses custom made inear microphones and does some post processing to compensate those ear reflections.
