My Ears fixture works fine but the USB interface brings limitations with different software applications. Most of the acoustic measurement applications I use (ARTA, Praxis etc.) need a reference channel. I find that also for some of my headphone ANC measurements I need an external microphone along with the internal microphone. The USB interface constrains the software since they don't know how to use separate left and right sources.

I think I may need to convert it to analog out to use it. I saw an unusual 3 wire interface for the microphones which seem to be ECM types. Any advice?

Doesn't ARTA have a single channel mode? Maybe it doesn't work with left and right channel selection.

I can't help feeling that perhaps using different software may be the way to go.
