Hi, my name is Alessandro, I'm new to the forum, I'm opening this post because I've been upgrading from 2x4HD vs DDRC-24 for a few hours, I'm having problems with DIRAC. I have a Win 11 pc and I'm having the problem as in the object, in practice I carry out the measurements correctly but it does not automatically record the readings, at the end therefore it does not correctly save the configuration vs the miniDSP.
I also attach the image of the type of error encountered in the post.
Has this ever happened to anyone on the forum? Can you please give me an indication of what I'm doing wrong or how to fix it?
thanks in advance for your suggestions

Can you just do a manual save instead? I'm not certain but I think I may have seen this message before but just ignored it by saving manually and all has worked as it should.

As to the cause I guess it could be an issue with permissions associated with where it is trying to auto-save to?

Thanks Ultrasonic for the reply.
I tried saving manually as you suggested, it lets me save it without errors, but then from MiniDSP Device Console (Version: 1.1.6) it doesn't find it on my PC when I go to do the import procedure

That's not how it works. The only thing you do with Device Console in relation to Dirac Live is to use it to launch the Dirac Live software. What you need to be doing is generating the filters within Dirac Live and then exporting them to your miniDSP from the same software. Have you downloaded the Dirac Live manual from within your User Downloads? What I'm taking about should be covered.

I confirm that I'm following the procedure as expected by "summaring" Dirac Live 3 from the minidsp console, but as I said, due to the problem in question it doesn't automatically save the configuration.
I tried "manually" to save the configuration giving it a name "test" for example but as I said it doesn't work in this way either.
Regarding the manual, the one on the site has the layout of the old GUI and not the new one available as per my update.

Once you've successfully launched the Dirac Live application you have to do absolutely nothing else with Device Console. You need to work through the tabs in the Dirac Live application from left to right, starting by taking a full set of measurements rather than the single point you showed, then there's the filter design step, and finally there is the step where you export the filters to your miniDSP.

It's not that the problem is WIN 11, from the repo:
www.minidsp.com/userdownloads/minidsp-2x4hd-plugins
leggo che:

STEP by STEP upgrade to Device Console:

- The 2x4HD/DDRC-24 DC Migration.zip file found on the DOWNLOAD link on the right is the migration package for existing 2x4HD customers wishing to upgrade to miniDSP Device Console. It includes the newest driver + latest firmware that are required for your upgrade. Please carefully follow the upgrade instructions found inside the ZIP file for more details. Note the  minimum requirements  for this update (Win10 & OSx 10.11).

and in addition to the PDF I followed the tutorial al link: docs.minidsp.com/product-manuals/ddrc-24...live-room-correction

In Device Console is your device now showing as a DDRC-24? If it does then the firmware upgrade has completed OK. Possibly your question is about getting the miniDSP configuration back how it was before? This has nothing to do with the Dirac Live error message you showed originally it is.

Is the preset configuration you currently have showing in Device Console what you want it to be?

Hi, thanks for the continued replies.
yes, the upgrade configuration is correct from the console, I see what I am attaching to you in the image.
So all correct to say.

How about the signal routing, crossovers etc for each preset? If everything is as it should be then you can just focus on Dirac Live...

I'm not currently sure you actually have a problem that you need to do anything about.

If I configure manually from the console everything is correct and it allows me to export and import the configuration.
After all, that's what I used to do (before the upgrade) when it was a 2x4HD and I've been using REW for years.
Now the problem I think is only DIRAC Live, from the console "starts" but for the problem in question I think you do not record anything on the PC disk, in fact the procedure takes me up to the export of the configuration but as I told you neither automatically nor manually works.

I think you're still misunderstanding the process. Have another read through my replies and the quick start guide I shared as see it anything become clearer. I really don't think you have an actual problem that will stop you doing anything. The only error message in Dirac Live you shared was about saving the Dirac Live project (stored on your PC) but you said you got round that by saving manually.
