We have a DDRC 88A connected to 3 subwoofers and 2 powered studio monitors in a listening room (not a production studio).  The system is up and running using the 88BM option, but we have not yet performed any calibration.  I have read the tutorial regarding using the MSO optimizer and we can follow that semi-automatic procedure, but we would prefer to use Dirac Live's automatic Bass Control feature which adjusts the phase, delay, and level of each sub to work in concert with each other to minimize standing wave effects at the listening area.  This is now part of Dirac 3.0, see this reference: confluence.dirac.services/display/DLS/Di...rol%3A+Filter+Design. The Bass Control manual can be downloaded from here: confluence.dirac.services/display/DLS/Dirac+Live+Bass+Control.

Is it possible to implement Dirac Bass Control with 3 subs when using the DDRC88A?  Do we have to upgrade our Dirac license to do so?

This isn't currently functionality available via any miniDSP product I'm afraid.

That's a shame.
Is the lack of Dirac Base Control due to a hardware limitation, FW development not yet completed, or is it simply a negotiation with Dirac that has to be completed?
Is this on the backlog for development?  If so, what is the expected release date?

While waiting for Dirac bc which might never come, go with MSO as it works brilliantly. Just follow the tutorial to the letter.
Warning: Just because I'm a 'Platinum' member, doesn't mean I know what I'm talking about... It just means I've asked too many questions!!

I don't know anything other than that it's not currently an option and there has been no announcement that I've see to suggest that this will change. In your position I'd view it as a very pleasant surprise if this ever became an option but I certainly wouldn't be counting on it happening.
