Hi . I am using the ddrc 22d between my transport and dac . My preamp has two separate output for the left and right channels so i connected a "L" subwoofer and a "R" subwofer . Those are also phisically close to their corresponding left and right speakers . When i make a dirac measurments i measure the system as a whole .
Is this the right thing to do ? Obviously the left outputs ( sub and main are identical and so is the right main and sub but the left and right channel is different . How that translates into the room correction particularly the subwoofers .
is there a better Minidsp resolution than the ddrc 22D ? Perhaps the ddrc24 ( i could do a pre-Dirac measurment and subwoofer oprimization using the 2×4 plugin then do a dirac measurment ? )

The ddrc22 is very powerful

you can do just the subs like you are doing

you don’t have to hook up the rest of system , but I would so it all plays through it together, and yes keep each sub on each ch like that with the mains

i would maybe try it both ways, you’ll want the rest of the system to run through it because of the latency it has , so you might as well take advantage of the full correction

but you could run entire system through it but only have it correct like 300 and down or whatever , that will make it fix the phase at the bass crossover and work with mains really nice

I would spend an evening trying it
