For some reason the Flex eight doesn’t save my customized target to the presets. As I understand I can use the default target curve from Dirac Live and then export it to one of the four presets on the Flex eight, but it seems that’s it’s not working. Dirac says its exported, and working but it’s the old settings that is in the presets. I have tried to export the same curve to all four of the presets and I can’t get I to work.

MacOs/Flex Eight/Dirac/UMIK-1/USB
1.     Made the measurements.
2.     Calculated the default target curve.
3.     Exported the curve to preset 1 and 2.
4.     Tested the two presets (1 and 2) and they aren’t the same.

Is there something that I don’t understand and doing wrong? Does it matter if I chose one or the other of the filter settings in the Dirac Live filter design window when I make the export?

What you export is the filters, not the target curve, and what you measure shouldn't necessarily be the same for each channel. It doesn't matter which channel's data you have showing when you export the filters.

It's possible what has happened for you is exactly what should have happened. How does is sound?

Thanks for the reply. I should mention that I use the Flex for a two-channel setup as a 4-chanel crossover for each channel. I have tested:
Exporting a filter setting to preset 1, but it doesn’t sems to differ from the one that was already stored in the preset 1.
I then tried to export the same filter settings to preset 2 and switched between preset 1 and 2 to hear if they are identical, and they are not.

Is it a bug or do I have to “reset” the Flex to be able to store the new filter settings to the different presets?

Best regards
