I'm new to minidsp and Dirac. If only managing 2 subs in the minidsp will Dirac live only recognize the subs and not the entire surround system that is not connected?
Just wondering if its worth getting the dsp with or without Dirac? I have a Yamaha with YPAO RSC for overall room correction.

 

Which miniDSP model do you own?

I have not purchased one yet. Trying to figure out if needed for 2 sub management only.

It doesn't sound like you want Dirac Live to me. What exactly are you looking to achieve that isn't currently done by your AVR?

I'm looking to get a better bass response as YPAO doesn't not handle Sub bass very well.
 

You don't need Dirac for subs if you use Multi-sub Optimiser (MSO). It works a treat!
