Dirac Not Measuring Full Frequency Range Help Please 1 year 1 month ago #61459

Just changed my Flex Balanced over to Dirac, and noticed odd behavior with the measured response, seems like the measurement range is not correct, and does not match up to my speakers.  Here is a screen grab from Dirac and another from REW, measured at the same position left and right speakers.

Were those two sets of measurements measured one immediately after the other, or something else?

I took the dirac measurment, and it didnt look right, so I verified with REW to see what was up.  So yes within 2 minutes, same mic position using a UMIK-2

I am also using Windows 11, and ASIO4ALL with REW.

I'm confused why they're different but the following may be relevant - see the final post for the solution in that case:

The above was for an issue seen in REW but it's like you're getting the same effect in Dirac but not REW.

I'm assuming you checked you definitely had the UMIK-2 selected in Dirac, and the appropriate calibration file selected?

I selected umik2 and calibration file.  I have checked audio enhancements as well as I thought that was the issue and it was not on.  No noise cancelling or anything.  Rew is good.  Dirac is not.

So after extensive testing of setting, I could not get anywhere with Windows 11.  I wiped my laptop and installed Win10, and guess what.  It worked no problem.  So not sure if its windows 11, drivers, or whatever, but no matter what I changed it would not work.

For info. I've seen posts from others with Dirac Live working with Windows 11. It's good you've got it sorted but there was probably was a less drastic fix. Not sure if you contacted miniDSP support at all but you may still want to so you can go back to Windows 11?
