Hi, I would like to experience Dirac calibration using my Marantz SR6015, and was wondering if the DDRC-88A allows me to do this. I have a 5.2 sepaker setup. Is this possible if I connect the preouts of the marantz to the DDRC-88A (except the sub channel), and then the output from the DDRC-88A would go directly to my two subwoofers and the center, front and surround channels in the marantz?

My gut feeling is that I don't think you can. You'd have to use the marantz pre-out --> 88A --> marantz 7.1 in.

The 7.1 in presumably does not bypass the marantz's pre-amp section. I expect the marantz wants you to select the 7.1 as the source and therefore once you select it, the pre-amp then outputs the same 7.1 input and you get into a crazy loop where the 88A and marantz are reprocessing the same signal again and again until something blows up!
Warning: Just because I'm a 'Platinum' member, doesn't mean I know what I'm talking about... It just means I've asked too many questions!!

Only chance would be if the 7.1 input bypasses the pre-amp and goes straight to the power amp or if there was an option to configure it that way, but you'd still need two different input sources of the marantz to be live at the same time (hdmi and 7.1 in for example).
