I'm quite the novice when it comes to this unit and these forums.  If I should post this in a different forum, please let me know.

I have a DDRC-88A for which I've saved two configurations.  Neither uses Dirac and both are configured for the gain set to 0 db.

For some reason the unit randomly switches profiles, randomly turns on Dirac, and randomly reduces the master volume.  Is this a known problem to anyone on the forum, and if so are there any suggestions to resolve it?

I'll add that I use a Harmony hub-based remote.  The 88A isn't currently part of any activity, but I've added it to my list of devices so I can at least change to "Preset 2" so the configuration can be set appropriately.  Harmony doesn't seem to have any ability to control volume or the Dirac status.  These random changes were happening before I added it to the device list.

Thanks,

Mike

Just to document this here, I also opened a ticket with MiniDSP support, and they weren't aware of any possible cause for this other than possibly signals for another device.

It turns out my brother - who's been at my house due to the pandemic - prefers to use the Apple remote when he's watching AppleTV, and I found that the Apple remote specifically controls the 88A.  I haven't proven this yet, but I believe that's the root of the problem.

Bloody Apple... They want to control absolutely everything!
Warning: Just because I'm a 'Platinum' member, doesn't mean I know what I'm talking about... It just means I've asked too many questions!!
