Hi,

I own a DDRC-24 with Dirac Live embedded.

It is possibile to run Dirac from the DSP, but select another DAC in the moment we measure the room?

Then saving the project/correction on the DDRC-24 slot?

Hi,

I don't think so. Dirac is technically run from the computer with the Dirac software, which then sends the sweep signals to the DDRC-24. However given the Dirac licence is tied to the DDRC-24 (in this case) it seems very unlikely there is a way to send this signal anywhere else.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to?

You probably realise but note that there are Dirac enabled miniDSPs with digital outputs which will work with whatever compatible DAC you connect them to.

>why would you want to?

Because after 1 year of no issues at all, one day (and forever) when I try to make a measure with Dirac and the DDRC-24, Dirac stuck/crash in the middle of the first measure and I need to reboot the DDRC-24 otherwise it doesn't work anymore and emits a very bad hissing noise from the speaker.

Considering that, apart this, the DDRC-24 works well, the Dirac works well, that I can load any project and can load any slots, I thought that workaround.

I suggest you contact Support to try to resolve the issue with your DDRC24. Something like reflashing its firmware may solve your issue for example.

Hello,

It's been more than 1 month that I am behind the two supports team (the miniDSP team and the Dirac team) and still we didn't solve anything.

I already re-flashed the DDRC-24 with the last firmware, also, reset to default and refresh to default each the DAC and the DSP software.

Sorry to hear this  . Wish I had some magic solution to suggest but I'm afraid not.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to run Dirac on another DAC. We have been working constantly on Marco's case and we are still trying to find the problem. Hopefully, we can resolve it soon. Thank you!
