Hello Everybody,
my name is Ugo and I joined this forum today.
It is my intention to add the Dirac Live Correction function to my audio system consinsting of: a CocktailAudio X50D (pure digital music server), a McIntosh MA5200 (integrated amplifier including a 192kHz/32bit DAC), a pair of speakers Acoustic Reasearch 10 pigreco (40 years old ).
Since I don't need a DAC, reading the specs of the miniDSP, the DDRC-22D, connected between the music server and the amp through coax, seems to be the right choice .
Anyway, in case the DAC could be disabled, also the DDRC-24 could be an interesting product to add Dirac Live to mu audio system.
Could you please let me know your consideration and/or any suggestion?
Many thanks in advance for your support.
Ugo

Hi,
the DDRC22 is probably ideal if you want to keep your DAC. And as you have already identified the DDRC24 is your option if you plan to bypass your DAC.

Does that amp have analogue inputs? Presuming it does and therefore the DDRC24 is an option but not if you want to use your DAC as it doesn’t have a digital output.

The DDRC24 might give you more scope to add a sub later if you wanted.

Something like the SHD ticks all boxes but if you go that route there’s probably no sense keeping the existing DAC in the chain.
Warning: Just because I'm a 'Platinum' member, doesn't mean I know what I'm talking about... It just means I've asked too many questions!!
