Hello Folks,
My name is Andrew, I'm planning to try Dirac Live to solve room mode issue at 50Hz and for this purpose I'm inclining to order 2x4hd and upgrade to Dirac, however It seems that it is impossible to put minidsp between streamer and preamp?

Could you please clarify how correctly incorporate it into current system: Streamer -> Preamp -> Amp ?
Initially I planned to place it right after my streamer which has optical out like this: Azur 851N -> Minidsp -> MF6PRE -> Parasound A23+.
Is it possible to do this?

P.S I'm probably a bit old school guy who like to control devices with device screen and volume controls, so probably completely replace preamp with minidsp is not my case (((

Thanks for any suggestions guys and sorry if there is already such topic exists on the forum. I have tried to search it but the topics were just minidsp + sub related, didn't find anything Dirac related.

Thanks for your interest in our product! If you are planning to use a 2x4HD/DDRC-24 in your setup, you can simply place it in between your pre amp and amp. Would I still be able to control volume at my MF preamp or in this case I have to control it by miniDSP? Also if I will consider SHD in the future, will I have also place it between amp and preamp?

BTW aren't you considering to produce a streamer with OSD and Dirac + analog outputs by a chance?)

Yes, as long as your preamp isn't set to fixed output volume and offers adjustable volume attenuation.

I use a Bluesound Node 2i >> SMSL M400 >> Minidsp DDRC24 >> Parasound Halo A31 / Two Active Tekton 4-10s.

The Minidsp is located between the Preamp and Amp. I control the volume of the SMSL M400 [in preamp mode] through a universal Logitech Harmony remote.

Want to reply my own thread in case someone also is seeking for such kind of answers.
Finally got my  2x4 hd which has been already upgraded to DDRC and done some first attempts of room  measurements. 
While I'm still waiting for my cables to be delivered I have only one RCA pair and I tried both variants - #1 Plug minidsp into power amp directly and #2 - plug into AUX of my preamp. 
Truly speaking I didn't find and differences in sound, just need to be careful with sound level and not to burn speakers after reconnecting device into power amp directly)
So, both variants are possible.

Looking forward to hearing about your results. Like you I integrated a 2x4HD and made the DDRC24 upgrade.
