Have a problem. I set up two zones for Dirac Live on my DDRC-88a and calibrated one. Came back after several weeks to calibrate second (after updating to latest version of Dirac Live software) and only the first calibrated zone is showing up in Dirac Live app when it connects to the 88 . Plugin still has two zones set up. Have tried changing the zones about in plugin and restoring, and installing the previous version of Dirac Live but still only get option to click on DDRC-88a when run Dirac software, rather than zone 1 and zone 2. I may have found a workaround. Though still only one zone (Zone 2) is showing at the start up of Dirac Live, if I switch the sequence in which Dirac prioritises the channels (in the 88BM plugin) so that the already calibrated Zone 2 is last and the channels in the other uncalibrated Zone 1 are first, then the Dirac Live app will show the Zone 1 with uncalibrated channels at start up. Hopefully I can calibrate this zone while keeping the existing calibration for Zone 2. Bit awkward and needs a fix but will see whether I can successfully get two zones calibrated tomorrow.

I have the same problem.
Today I wanted to measure another zone (without touching my main zone):
I have an additional sub in my studio, and I only wanted to measure itself.

I set up the zones in the Dirac channel configuration:
zone 1: L/R/Sub (dirac 1/2/3)
zone 2: Sub 2 (dirac 4)

Whatever I try, I can select only the zone of the first sequence, whatever I call them (zone 1,2,7,8)
If I want to work on the sub 2, I have to include it to the speaker(s) of the first sequence.
I can, however, exclude my first sub by putting it into another zone.

I don't know whether this was the case in previous versions, but I think I remember to have seen different zones selectable in the past. (maybe DL 2 )

What am I doing wrong?

DL3.0.11 (freshly installed today)
DDRC-88D with BM 2.4 Firmware 2.6
MacOS 10.14.6

It was definitely possible to pick zones at the start up of Dirac Live previously. It was the first option it gave u after logging into the Dirac server. You just had to click on whichever zone you wanted to calibrate or adjust. The only workaround I found was to switch the sequence of the zones in the minidsp plugin, which is where you now create and alter zones. So click on the display tab at the top of the plug-in window for Dirac Channels Configuration and make sure the channels of the zone you want to work on are first in sequence. Then start up Dirac from within the plug-in, click on whatever minidsp unit you’re using and the zone you’ve placed first in the sequence will show up. Yes, I know it very well from DL 1.x
Since I use my DDRC in the studio for a while now, I didn't have to use this feature.

I understand your suggestion, (shown in this screenshot) but it doesn't work for me:
It uses always the first available speakers, regardless of the zone number I choose; and I cannot select a second zone at the startup screen.
I have set it up now as a second sub within my main system, having to re-measure all speakers.
I think I will try to open a support ticket- this is not very comfortable now.

I may be misunderstanding you here, but the way I got it to work (I think) was to make sure the zone I wanted to calibrate was at the top of the sequence. So previously I had my two Zone 2 channels at the top of the list (Sequence 1 and 2) and Dirac Live would default to calibrating Zone 2. When I switched it so that my Zone 1 was top of the sequence list (Sequence 1-6 -- See attached pic), Dirac would default to calibrating Zone 1. There was no easier way to do this that I could find so the developers need to fix this.



I guess it's because they changed it so that you no longer set up the zones within DLCT but in the plugin.

Very uncomfortable, though- but at least, it works somehow.

But I wonder why we can't access our different zones from startup?
With the release of DL2.0 for miniDSP you had to activate "file sharing" on MacOS for the DDRC 24 for device discovery.
I think, this has nothing to do with it. (nevertheless it had to try it out .

I put in a ticket to customer support earlier today over something else but didn’t mention this directly because I didn’t want them to get confused over what I was asking and fail to answer my other (related) issue. b) As for the zone, there is indeed a minor bug with the multizone. It seems like the latest build on our server application with flexible port allocation has a small bug on the multizone setup. Engineers are looking into it.

In the mean time, you can just replace the server application from here with the earlier version which works fine. Just copy over to

Go to /Applications/miniDSP/
Right click on DDRC88BM.app -> Show Package Contents
Go to Contents/Resources/add
Replace the minidsp_dirac with the one found in the above zip file.

For Window, go to \Program Files (x86)\miniDSP\DDRC-88-BM\add
Replace the minidsp_dirac.exe with the one found in the above zip file.

Their instructions are obviously for my particular plugin, the DDRC-88BM, but presumably will work with other units.

I have just tried this suggestion from the developers and now I can no longer connect to the board at all with Dirac Live. Starting Dirac Live from inside the plugin no longer opens the window showing the Dirac Live application and if I try to connect to Dirac Live by finding and opening the Dirac app in my Applications folder, it won't connect to the board. Will try to figure out if this is just me. This made my situation much worse.
