Guys,
Once Dirac has measured the speaker and room response, is there a way to export the results before a curve/filter is applied?

Thanks

I'm not aware of a way to do so.

Hi,
I couldn’t see anything obvious that would allow it. I am toying with the idea of trying Dirac over a smaller window I.e only up to 500hz. My speakers naturally (or are voiced -if that’s the correct term) and gradually fall off towards the top end. If I could export Dirac’s measurements I could try to best fit my target curves against the measured shape and get the end result closer to the target curve. I guess if I want to do that it’s a job for REW.

Just an idea. Wondering if better results can be obtained by giving Dirac less to worry about. I guess your recent post about there being no difference between the end result when you apply PEQ before Dirac would maybe suggest not. But could it do a ‘better’ job on the lower frequencies if it only had to deal with them?

Have you ever compared? Maybe it’s a subject for another thread.

I've done some quick comparisons but plan to do more. Rather than biasing you by sharing my thoughts I'd suggest you just try this for yourself though as ultimately it comes down to subjective personal preference for you with your system in your room. I've read of people who prefer both.

For a long time I've only used corrections below around 150 Hz as that is what I was doing with my 2x4 HD. I've only very recently started exploring Dirac Live properly, and experimenting with wider frequency range correction as a result.

Back to back comparison shouldn’t be too difficult with 4 configurations. I’ll just get someone else to switch between them so I don’t know!! Another thing to try at some point! Do you find that with a miniDSP/Dirac product in the chain that you can’t stop playing?!! :-)
