Hi, new to miniDSP SHD Studio, not new to Dirac. Have been using Dirac Live in Ableton. Via the vst plugin I could remove filters. However, it seems not possible to remove a filter from miniSDP nor from the Dirac Live UI. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've not been able to find a way to remove a filter either. I don't think it is possible. This in itself doesn't cause any particular issues unless there are significant time delays or level adjustments applied that you want to remove? This I have achieved in the past by doing a dummy set of central point measurements with both left and right signals routed to the same speaker.

In case you end up having more questions I'll just mention that there is an SHD specific section of the forum here:

Thanks Ultrasonic. Would still be nice to have the option to remove a filter.

The feature I'd want a lot more would be to be able to save filters locally on my PC so I could choose to load back old filters easily, rather than having to go back to the DL Project and create them again.

I am not sure what you want to achieve in removing the filter from DIRAC Live ? They are just listed there and able to be used or ignored. If you are talking about removing the filters on DDRC 24/22 then is is possible at any time as is overwriting a new filter over and existing one and replacing it .
Apologies if I seem a little slow on this but i am honestly not sure why you need to remove a filter ?

If you have downstream dsps and pre tuning , if a filter is loaded the delays are on weather Dirac is on or off

So literally have to remove device from chain to do pre tuning .... it sucks dirac 1.0 you could offload the filter .... you can’t in 2.x or 3

You could just add matching delay/gain on the opposite output.

Nope

Not that easy

The ddrc22 does not tell you the delay or gain .....

And besides , I wouldn’t want the errors that come with something like that...... it needs to be the pure 2ch signal unadulterated.

When we disengage Dirac I expect all of the things be turned off

Apparently the framework of Minidsp amd Dirac have two separate things one is separate from the actual correction file
