Sorry if this is a simple question but I want to use the DDRC-24 to build a set of active 2-way speakers with crossovers and room correction. I've read the manual and app-notes for the DDRC-24 but still confused about this. Would anyone please let me know?

Thanks and Cheers,

D.

Thanks for replying.

Is it possible to use the DDRC-24 to build a pair of 2-way per side stereo speakers? That is I want to use separate woofer and tweeter in each enclosure and use the DDRC-24 to create crossovers for each separate woofer and tweeter in each of the two enclosures.

Yes.

Note that sorting out the crossover details is something you will need to do yourself though, rather than Dirac Live doing this automatically for you

Thanks for verifying that. I am okay with doing the basic crossover frequency, what I am hoping is that the DDRC-24 will do the matching for the different driver sensitivities and balancing the frequency response of the woofer-tweeter pair on each channel.

Is this possible?

Not really, since Dirac can't adjust relative contributions from each driver over the crossover region.

I'm about to order a DDRC-24 and I just want to confirm that I can use it to do the crossovers for the speakers and then use Dirac Live to do the room correction?

Thanks for any replies.

Correct, it indeed can. Check out the manual on how to do so. We go step by step for setting up both.

Thanks devteam.

I've just now bought and installed the upgrade software to take my 2X4HD to DDRC=24 and sent an email to miniDSP with the activation code. I'm looking forward to getting my DDRC-24 up and running!

Hi DevTeam,

I received the License File and used it to activate DiracLive and convert my 2x4HD to a DDRC-24 but I forgot to click on 'Restore ALL to default' tab before clicking 'Synchronize Config' tab. Now when I click the 'Start Dirac Live Software' tab I get two error messages that I have attached:

"Please make sure Dirac Live was installed.
You can get Dirac Live from live.dirac.com/download"

AND:

"Cannot find the file: C:\Users\antho_000\AppData\Local\Dirac\Live\DiracLive.exe
Do you have Dirac Live installed?
If yes, please specify the location of the DiracLive executable."

The 'Dirac Live On' box lights up in pick but the Dirac Live app does not start. Any idea how I can fix this or is it possible to start the whole conversion from 2x4HD to DDRC-24 over again?
