Hi all,

I recently got DDRC-88D running in my system. It "sounds amazing", but! I can hear clicks during playback. I am 100% sure the gain structure is fine, it sounds like a clock issue to me and I have sent the support ticket couple days ago but no one has answered yet.

The signal flow is Merging HAPI AES Out - 88D - HAPI AES IN - HAPI DA8, I am a professional recording engineer and the signal flow or clocking structure shouldn't have any problem since I used other digital correction in the same way. I also checked audio files and almost everything, but haven't found any possible issue. Does anyone know what the problem is? I attached my configuration file if anyone wants to help me to run a test. I appreciate!

Thanks!

I think I have figured it out.

DDRC-88D is an ASRC device and actually runs on its own sample rate. It can’t be clocked to common clock, and thus, when we use it as digital loop, we have to reset the clock. It means we have to lock the AES receiver interface (Hapi, Metric Halo in our cases) to DDRC-88D or SHD studio.

Not sure if it’s your problem, but if SHD is also an ASRC device, I would suggest you make it master, and problem would be solved.
