Hello Everyone!

I'm a new DSP junkie on forum.
I'm thinking of buying a DSP module for room correction in my 2.0 audio system.
I only need the Dirac Live / room correction- function, not interested in streaming or anything else.
I want to save money, so i'm interested is there any AUDIO QUALITY benefits for using SHD over the DDRC-22D.
What I can see there is "only" difference in SHARC proccesor model/speed: (I'm not interested in streaming part of SHD)
SHD (ADSP21489 / 450MHz) vs DDRC-22D (ADSP21369 / 333MHz)

Would there be any or "any significant" room correction audio quality between the two devices in my case?

My system:
Source/Transport: OPPO UDP-203
Pre/DAC: Nuprime DAC-10H
Power amp: Nuprime ST-10
Speakers: PMC PB1i Signature

I would use miniDSP in digital domain between OPPO and Pre/DAC-10H.

Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

I have used MiniDSP units for quite a while but in the main they were DDRC 24 units which have lots of additional features . They can be used just for Dirac Live on a passive system and they work well but they are able to do so much more it is a bit of a waste.

About three months ago I had the chance to swop one of my DDRC 24 units for a DDRC 22D unit and as one was used in a passive system that could not be activated (Quad ESL57 Speakers use a complex transformer cross over which is just too difficult to make active) I did the swap and now use the DDRC 22D as you intend as a digital switch box with Dirac Live added. This unit would be all that you would need as it offers three digital inputs and three outputs . It outputs a 96hz /24 bit digital output only so do make sure that your DAC can handle that . The SHD series is offering a great deal more in features that I feel you would not use and doubt that the sound quality would be any reall improvement over the DDRC 22D . My advice is that this device works well for exactly what you are looking for and it is the best suited unit for your system .
