I am pretty new to dirac live as was hopeing to get a link or suggestions for a microphone stand with a boom arm for the mini, also a little confused on which way the microphone should be placed for a 2 channel system- 90 degrees or 0? thank you

Amazon have one for like $17, for higher quality look at Konig and Mayer, I like the model 252 because it gets quite low (for nearfield sub measurements) and has extendable boom.

But almost anything will work fine for DL :)

I use one of these:

I had a cheaper one from Amazon before but its shorter arm was less suited to Dirac but fine for the single point measurements I'd made before.

I use the microphone pointing towards for 2-channel measurements. Pointing at the ceiling is necessary for surround systems.
