Hi,
I have a SHD and built a 2 way active speaker :) (same kind of speaker as TAD 2402) and I have three questions please ;)
I wonder wether it is possible to:
-Apply a crossover in the minidsp plugin, for example 24LR or 48LR at 800Hz, and to use dirac live after?
-Will Dirac live apply itself the delay betwen the woofer and the horn?
-Did someone tried to use dirac live outside? with only one point? On the axe of the speaker?
Thank you :)

Yes you can do that. That's how you would implement a 2-way speaker.

Dirac Live can only correct the combined response, you would need to measure and set the delay between drivers yourself before doing Dirac Live.

Did someone tried to use dirac live outside? with only one point? On the axe of the speaker?

Remember that Dirac Live is for room correction and the measurements it shows you are not gated.

HTH :)

For what it is worth; I use the miniDSP SHD to bi-amp my 2-way speakers (Altec M19), works like a champ! I echo Dinky's comments.

Regarding your last question: Did someone tried to use dirac live outside? with only one point? On the axe of the speaker?

Not sure what you want to achieve, if you want to create i.e. a frequency response diagram of your speaker, I would not use Dirac. I would use REW EQ, a free download and this software works just fine with the SHD and the supplied calibration mic.

Before conducting the Dirac live measurements, I used REW EQ to determine cross-over points and slopes as well time delay (using the freq. and phase diagrams and other charts generated by REW). For these measurements I placed the mic in front of each speaker on axes and ran the measurements. I did not alter any of the EQ curves or settings within the SHD. I had Dirac basically sort out the EQ for my speakers & room combined, .

Beauty with the SHD is, you can load up to 4 different profiles each with different settings and you can switch dynamically. After I settled on the for me optimal crossover settings, I ran the Dirac measurements properly. After that I basically stopped tinkering and I'm just enjoying the music.
