Hi,
If I could place my speakers anywhere for better sound staging I would place them a bit further apart. However, my room layout doesn’t allow this. If any of you are familiar with Linn Space Optimisation, I think it’s supposed to allow you to decide where your speakers sound the best, then allow you to put them where you want. Then you tell the software which position they sounded the best vs where they are and the number crunching changes the sound. Does Dirac compensate in a similar way?
Thanks all

Dirac can't 'fake' the effect of your speakers being further apart but neither can Linn's SO.

Dirac works to try to improve the sound of speakers in a particular position but doesn't have a way to suggest an optimal speaker location. I'd be pretty sceptical of how well that could be done by any system to be honest.

Not a direct answer to your question, but in some cases just moving yourself forward works really well. (If your room layout allows it.)
