I emailed support about this back in the middle of January asking if 2.0 is coming for the DDRC-88A

Here is the reply:
"It's indeed in the works for us to support Dirac 2.0 multichannel. It's more complex than 2ch (transition already done) as it also require custom modification of the plugins for the custom mode (not here under Dirac 2.0) hence the reason for the delay.

No timeline as per our company policy I'm afraid.. We can only say it will happen.

I am actually using the DDRC-88D as a 2 channel 3-way crossover, something that it does very well at. Although I use it as a digi preamp too by having different configs accepting different S/PDIF inputs, here I have found some interesting (weird) behaviour, but have finally managed to get 2 inputs working which is all that I need (3&4 and 7&8) for DAP & Turntable (through ADC).

However, I understand that is a bit of a niche use for the unit, so appreciate that miniDSP will want to have stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 support before releasing an upgrade.

The below statement copied above is indeed correct. We can't comment much but there is some good progress overall on Dirac 2 for multichannel as we've already told the community we'd support it.
