I already have more than a few frustrating hours invested in upgrading my 2x4HD to DDRC-24. Got it all up and running. Installed Dirac Live from their website and made an account. Click open Dirac Live button on the minidsp and it opens up and I log in to be greeted with a "No devices found" after a minute. Read all instructions and scoured the forum on here for a couple hours. Have my UMIK-1 plugged in and it's working fine. Tried going into Security and Privacy under Preferences Mojave and see "Microphone." I see REW has access, but there's no option at all for Dirac or MiniDSP and no way to add it. There's no firewall, and both the DDRC-24 and microphone are both plugged into the computer. I read some older macs may have issues, but I'm running a mac mini that's less than 6 months old.

By what I understand from reading, Dirac has to see the microphone to proceed any further. What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind. Just about when I was ready to give up I read through all the instructions and saw what I missed.

System Preferences - Sharing - File Sharing needs to be turned on

DDRC-24 come up right away now under Dirac. Mods, feel free to delete this or leave it up for the next poor soul struggling as I did.

I am having the same issue but even when I enabled file-sharing it still doesn't pick it up.

I think I read somewhere that the UMIK-1 is needed at least for the first boot up sequence. Possibly try going into the Sound section of System Preferences and make sure the UMIK-1 is selected. I also have the firewall disabled, but that shouldn't matter if you have both the DDRC-24 and UMIK-1 plugged into the same computer.

I also tried opening Dirac separately with the minidsp program not open, open, and open and connected and it will not detect the DDRC-24 unless I click "Start Dirac Live Software" in the upper right corner of the minidsp program.

I'm a noob at all of this so I can't be of much help, just what I've learned throughout the process. Hope you figure it out. Just a heads up, when you get it working, there's a very good chance that the UMIK-1 wont input any signal to do measurements. If so, open Dirac through the minidsp program, close Dirac, and manually open it again from the applications folder and it will work. That's the next road block in getting all this working I had to figure out.

Best of luck

The workaround I mentioned above will allow you to use the UMik-1 in Mojave with version 2.3

No sure what workaround you describe. Not clear. Also don't know what the difference or advantage of versions. But nothing I tried could get mike input even though it was selected both in system preference (which shows input) and Dirac (selected UMik-1 but no input). Until version update I'll stick with V1.2.1.8426 with OS Mojave.

I emailed the IT team at Dirac about the issue with no mic input with the most current DDRC-24 software with Dirac Live 2.3 and they sent me a link to this forum that stated to get input from the mic, open Dirac Live through the Minidsp program, and then close Dirac Live and open Dirac Live manually through the programs folder. Works every time for myself and others having the same issue on Mojave.

As far as the differences between the different versions, I have no idea. If what you have works and sounds great, you may want to just stick with it rather than go through the hassle of updating everything only to have to revert back to the older versions later.

Hmm the disconnect I’m having with your solution maybe that I have 8 channel product.. I only have 2 apps that I use. Dirac for 88a and 88DM
That’s why I Attached the clip to show the working version for my product.

Dear All

Please make sure to update your latest build of DDRC22/SHD/DDRC24 as we've fixed the potential culprit for OSx not giving access to the mic. Please have a trial to the latest build if you still have some issues. As usual, if you have some issues, starting a tech support ticket with our team will be the way to go. :-) (support.minidsp.com)

I had problems to connect to my device (device not found) .....I simply made a Hotspot-Tethering with my Smartphone which uses his own access to internet and connected to my laptop. ;) it worked. ..... Made my measurements saved and enjoyed ..... :)
