Hello - I am using a MacBook Pro with Mojave. The plugin found and connected to Dirac Live and found the microphone and the calibration. However I am getting no sound when I try to calibrate the volume, I have the SHD set to 'USB' as the source. My computer is on a wireless network. The SHD is on an ethernet cable. I keep getting an error message that says 'Network Unavailable'. The computer is absolutely connected to the wireless network. In the Midi Setup I have the input set to the mic and the output is set to the SHD.

I am at a loss as to how to get volume and I am hoping someone can suggest what I should do to get sound.

Thank you

I am trying to move from V1 to the current version of Dirac Live., I am unclear on what i should be doing with the configuration settings prior to trying to set the volume levels. I am opeing Dirac via the DSP plugin and the SHD and Mic are recognized by Dirac. when I try to calibrate the volume I get sound that I can't turn off, even if I change the source. I have to reboot the device to turn off the white noice.

Any suggestions would be welcome as to what I am doing wrong. Am I supposed to wipe clean my old settings from my original measurements with Dirac 1?

My mistake was when I launched Dirac it turned the volume down to -95dB. I was using the knob to turn it back up. that's what was breaking the network connection. You have to use the Master Volume slider in the mic calibration screen of Dirac to get the SHD volume where you need it for testing.

@nealsal

Indeed, that would be the issue if you're trying to use the front panel/IR remote while doing Dirac tuning. Basically Dirac is getting confused receiving some msg meant for our plugins and it's breaking the communication. Always use the sliders on the GUI during Dirac.
