Hello, i want to upgrade my DDRC 22 to Dirac Live 2. I read the manual an first install the DDRC-22 Utility. Then connected the DDRC via USB - connection successful - and go to "Upgrade Firmware". I selected the new firmware "ENC_DDRC22_Ver2.25_SS.hex" and startet the erase/programm/verify-process. After some minutes i get a message that erasing was not successful. Waiting 15 Minutes or more - the firmwaretool freezes. Now i can't connect the device any more. What i have to do now? Im using MAC OS Mojave.

Thank you,
Stefan

Compatibility:
- Dirac 2.0 is only compatible with Win10 and Mojave as per their website. Please make sure to use a PC/MAC running such OS. Earlier/newer versions (E.g. OSx Catalina) won't be supported at this stage.
- Older Macs running Mojave may run into some issues with Dirac 2.2.3 version. Please try Dirac Live 2.2 build from here: live.dirac.com/all-released-versions/

It is probably a compatability problem. Or the WiFi was interrupted and disrupted the update. If the latter is the case try wiring both the DSP and MAC directly into the router using Ethernet cables as this is more reliable. Otherwise if you have a windows PC try using that. Hopefully you didn't brick the DDRC if that is possible. :(

Hope this was helpful.

I could solve this by myself. I set the board in the firmware-mode by pressing the button on the board when powering up. Then i was able to upload the firmware to the board. I think the problem was a bad usb cable - maybe connection was lost during upgrade?! Im happy that there is is a possibility to hardware-set a firmware-mode on the board! Installed Dirac Live 2.0 and now its working.

Tanks!
Stefan
