I've looked here and on the Dirac Live website, but I only see some marketing terms and nothing technical about what is different in 2.0.

Also, when will the update be available for the DDRC-88?

They say phase is corrected in speaker pairs.

i just finished the update of my 2x4hd from 1 to 2 and i can confirm its a HUGE improvement especially in the bass department. the upgrade is a real pain in the a$$ but it worths it. if you like bass heavy music it is literally musthave.

Could you elaborate a little? Do you mean the bass sounds much better than Live 1.0 is optimally set up, or do your you mean that you have a lot more options, or what? Just curious what exactly impresses you so much.

its the quality of the bass that is spectacularly better.

specs:
- room has terrible acoustics by default, like a bathroom this is why dirac is life saving for me
- running a pair of klipsch rp8000f with a nad c375 & minidsp 2x4hd + dirac upgrade.

the key difference of dirac 2 bass in my room is that it has punch & strength, also much less boost is needed, in my case it is +10db vs 20+ for dirac 1 at peak 35hz then slowly decreasing to zero until around 1khz.

dirac 1 bass is sterile and the default target curve lacks *any* bass in case of my system, dirac 2 bass is okay even with the default target curve.
