Anyone know how to edit a Dayton UMM6 to be seen as a umik1

I have a cal for a umm6 that sounds awesome
The umik has a few areas that it dosent match the umm6

I always use the DLCT with umik and than go into rew and use umm6 to see how far it’s off compared to the umik1 and ajust it in the target

I would love to not have to do this and just use my umm6 (I don’t know how to edit a cal file otherwise I would make the corrections there
Edit: I could probably figure it out but also worry about messing it up , so I would also be interested if someone can tell me how to format cells in excel with both mic cal files and make a macro to give me a offset ..... that’s how I would think it should be done , just don’t know excel well enough, it looks like one file is comma delimited and the other is maybe tab delimited or space delimited, can’t tell in notepad .......

Any ideas much appreciated

Any help
Andrew

Got the calibration offset from a friend on another forum

The overall response was 2db at 4K. And it’s a little different in sub bass (which wasn’t the issue)

So now I’m really confused

I can put both mics on rew same laptop same system and do same averages and they look more like 6db different in about 2 seperate oactaves (600-1200 and 2500-5000)

The umm6 seems to sound better when I manually do a tune with rew using rta and moving mic averages...... dialing in the same type response. I’ve had two umik1 s now and they both behave the same .

So ....for now disregard the umik is working fine
And it’s calibration is close enough. I think this is a subject for a diffrent fourm and maybe I need to learn the behavior of usb mics and how they function to better understand what’s going on in this listening environment

@Andrew

unfortunately you won't be able to "trick" Dirac to be using another mic. It won't work I'm afraid.. :-(
What you're most likely doing now with loading that specific UMM6 cal file for a UMIK-1 is akin to using the target curve and boosting the sub.. just a wild guess.. :-)

Thanks DevTeam ,

Not using a cal file for umm6 on a umik1
I’m using both cal files to create a offset , a difference between them.

I figured it out and there’s not much difference at all .
