For not being able to find any forum for DIRAC Live, I find myself here.
I was sent a link (from DIRAC) to download DIRAC Live 1.x with beta AU & VST plug-ins. I use JRiver MC 24 on a Mac Mini. This is the stand-alone software for Mac.
I have added the VST plug-in to NC 24 & checked in system preferences under "sound" on the Mac & the microphone is configured properly & I can see output levels working.
I have gone thru the setup steps in DIRAC Live & loaded the UMIK-1 calibration file.
The problem is, I get no input level from the mic when in DIRAC Live. Nothing on the VU meters & if I run the test sweep, it errors & says the record level is too low.
I tried REW & had the same results, but I didn't spend any time exploring that because I want to use DIRAC. According to Dirac there is no support for this beta, so.....HELP! I suspect this is something simple, but I have no experience with this sort of application. Any help or redirect is appreciated.

We can only provide support for miniDSP Dirac Live platform (not the software I'm afraid you're using as we know nothing of how their VST work). However Dirac Support will be happy to help I'm sure.

Problem found to be a corrupted account permissions file in MAC OS. Had to create a new user & DIRAC then requested access to the mic. Previously, DIRAC was not requesting, nor being granted access to the mic. A software developer friend found this, so don't ask me for details. All I know is that the OS was never seeing a request from Dirac & it would not allow us to manually add Dirac access to the mic. The "obvious" key was that Dirac never requested access to the mic.
