I know this is not what you should do but I wondered what would be the result if you did a complete DIRAC measurement and kept the mic in the same listening position for all the calibration tests ?

Would you get a very focused result for that single spot , or would the lack of additional measurements of the in room acoustic make the final result skewed in some way .

As it will not do any harm to anything I am planning to try this just to hear and see the results this Friday when I am off .

John is correct here.. The purpose of the multipoint measurement is also to remove some potential for an artifact.
it's not really recommended to be honest. best to still do the measurement, if you want a tighther sweet spot maybe closer but at least make the measurements. It's best for your experience!
