I am interested in using the DDRC-22D in my car stereo system, feeding my Alpine H700 processor via toslink. The signal chain would be: iphone-> apple USB3 camera adapter -> Signstek usb to toslink converter -> DDRC-22D -> H700 -> amps -> speakers.

However, the DDRC-22D says that it only outputs at 96kHz, while the H700 which is something like 15 years old probably only supports 48khz on the toslink inputs (I couldn't find any specs online). So is there any recommended converter box that will convert the 96Khz to 48Khz? I suppose if needed I could replace the H700 with a C-DSP, and get better sound with the modern DACs, but I would rather not go to that trouble.

BTW what I would really prefer would be a C-DSP car-specific version of the Dirac Live. Is there any such thing in the works? I can wait 6 months or so.

@tmorrowus

Sounds like a nice setup!

Unfortunately there isn't a way to cap the sample rate of the DDRC-22D... It's by default 96k indeed.. :-(
I guess that you could go analog with a DDRC-24 I guess? i.e. Digital in - > Analog out - > into your H700?

We unfortunately can't provide any feedback on the future and what we might do.. :-( It's our company policy from the beginning I'm afraid.. :-(
