I just got the DDRC-22D last week replacing my nanodigi2x8.

I have a problem playing High Res Files from my Aries Mini, I only get a distorted signal out of the DDRC-22D, the music is hardly recognizable.

This occurs playing 176.4 and 192kHz streams. I have to convert down to 88.2 or 96kHz sampling rates although the DDRC-22D should support up to 216kHz. I never had this problem with the nanodigi.

Anyone who faced the same problem?

We've never seen this from our side... Could you please send us more info on how to reproduce it?
- You made sure you got PCM out right? i.e. maybe at these rates the Sample rate is different?
- If you want to start at ticket our team (support.minidsp.com) with the details (E.g. song used), we can try to reproduce.

I am playing Tidal HiRes MQA files via my Auralic Aries Mini. The Aries does the MQA decoding and provides a PCM output signal on digital coax output. I have the DDRC-22D connected to it and after DSP processing an Audiolab 8200DQ premp with DAC.
I will do another check bypassing the DDRC-22D to be sure its not a problem with Tidal or the Auralic. I will let u know the outcome.

When connecting the Aries Mini to the Audiolab directly, the problem does not occur, it seems related to the DSP not able to handle these High Res streams.

Example song in Tidal: Radka Toneff - Fairy Tales Original Master Edition (MQA) - The moon is a harsh mistress 192KHz sampling rate.

How can I submit a ticket? I tried sending a mail to support using the send mail form and it got rejected since it was rated as spam.

Thanks for the follow up. We indeed got your ticket.
We've tried to reproduce the issue here and we can't figure out what is the reason for your issues as everything is going fine from our side.

Is it possible that it's the MQA issue here? Are these 192k tracks MQA?

Anyway you have a tech support tix open with our team. They are doing some testing here but can't find any issues on all the units we have. Maybe we need more info on the content here.

I have responded via mail to the support ticket mail notification I received from you. I hope the responses have reached you.
The problem also exists with HighRes flac files from disk and I have sent you a recording of a song with 96kHz/192kHz sample rate, so you get an impression about the sound difference without and with distortion.
