I currently have a stereo 4-way system (i.e. 8 channels total) using a pair of the standard 2x4 units.

I am interested in Dirac room correction. As a first step, I figure I could just put a DDRC-24 between my preamp and the 2x4s.

Eventually, though, I'd want to simply run a pair of the DDRC-24s (one for left channel, one for right) and retire the 2x4s.

Is there some hidden issue I'm missing here? Alternatively, could I get away with one DDRC-24 and one 2x4HD, and still be able to load filter sets into both units?

Hi,

If you want to have Dirac Live AND 4way speaker, the DDRC-88A/D running the BM plugin is the easiest path to go.
HEre is a great step by step app note: www.minidsp.com/applications/digital-cro...akers-with-ddrc-88bm

Thanks for the response. Yes, that seems the best/cleanest approach.
