Hi all,

Im in the middle of upgrading the firmware as described from Page 70 onwards in the manual. I have tried using Windows and a Mac.

I have successfully completed all of the actions in Section 10.3.

However, when I attempt the actions detailed in 10.4, I simply cannot connect. Im getting the Warning message on the attached screenshot.

Id appreciate any help with this, as Ive tried it 6 times now with no success. Im not even sure my system will work if I can't manage to complete this upgrade I guess? Will I have any sound at all?

they have answered to me this morning, the fix is relatively simple:
Most likely you had a very old version of DDRC-88 firmware in your unit.

Can you power off the unit, open the cover and check to make sure you switched back the USB port connection to the miniSHARC (upper add-on board)? Then follow these steps:

1. Power off the DDRC-88 unit.

2. Open DDRC-88BM software, select from the top menu bar: “Restore” → “Upgrade Firmware” → click the “Yes” button, a firmware upgrade tool will pop-up.

3. Open the top cover case, press-and-hold the white button on top of the miniSHARC (the upper square add-on board) and apply power again, the firmware upgrade tool will show “Device attached”, if you see this, you can then release the button.

4. Follow the steps in user manual p.78 (for Windows, see section 10.4.1 steps 6 ~ 9) or p.80 (for Mac, see section 10.4.2 steps 6 ~ 9) to do the firmware upgrade using the firmware file ENC_DDRC88BM_Ver2.23_SS.hex.

User manual: drive.google.com/file/d/0B_QTvoQEI19kVFd...dlU/view?usp=sharing

5. In the DDRC-88BM software, click the “Connect” button to connect again.

PS: because we modify the audio structure from DDRC-88 to DDRC-88BM, you will loss the setting, please rerun the Dirac Live software and do a new set of measurement

Regards,

Best Regards

Now after all that I get i put back in my system and it gets no audio in or out. I've tried different sources etc. Just flat out nothing. :/ At least before the upgrade it would pass music though the device. I took it back out again ,and checked the fuse that's the only thing I could think of.

When I look on the DSP app it shows -116 in and out
